  1. Since so many people in Scotland, especially in the Central Belt, have Irish blood or heritage to some degree, it’s a little strange to try to have it all one way or the other.

  2. Imagine thinking that two celtic cultures living next to each other with a long history of emigration don’t have a lot of overlap on a country ven diagram.

  3. These are the memes that cringey old Americans post after discovering a single ancestor who emigrated in 1763 and loves their “Scottish” heritage.

  4. …………. Anyone want to remind them about the Scoti, from whom Scotland derives its name and gaelic culture? ……

    Scotland is Irish (#scotlandisirish)

  5. As an Irishman, I find this refreshing; not that I mind the publicity we get on St. Patrick’s Day; however, it’s hysterical to see so many people pretend to be Irish simply because “it’s festive.” On the other hand, it’s funny to watch them try an Irish accent and fail miserably.

Anyway, here’s to all you Scotsmen and Scotswomen: keep it classy, you blue-faced scum!

  6. Those remarks, Lord God Almighty. Never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever
